As I type this first entry for 2015, I marvel at how 2014 flew by just like that. There are many things I’m thankful for. One of which is having a job and a stable source of income. I’m thankful I’ve managed to stay for a year, and hopefully, for many more years to come. Here’s to another eventful year ahead. (:

I’m also thankful to have gotten inspired by a korean mixed martial artist, Song Ga Yeon, to have taken up Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at Evolve MMA. I’m thankful to have made many new friends whom I believe will remain friends in the long run. In the course of the three months at Evolve, I’ve fallen sick twice, sprained my lower right back, and had to seek treatment from a chiropractor. My savings have all been depleted because of this, and I’m down to only a few hundred dollars till my January pay. I guess this serves as a learning point for me to manage my finances more effectively, and to spend wisely for this new year. And not forgetting to stay healthy, and to eat healthily.

In case you guys are wondering how my first day of 2015 went… I caught the midnight movie “Night at the Museum” on new year’s eve and reached home at 3:30am. Went to bed at 4am, and woke up with a sore throat and high fever. Spent the entire New Year’s day resting in bed till my back hurt. Woke up only to have dinner and took some medication, and went back to sleep. I was so “cold”, I ended up wearing socks and gloves and wrapped myself up with three layers of blankets. I literally felt like I was gonna die from the fever.

All right then. Till my next post, happy new year! (:

Were you given antibiotics? Swallowing must be really really painful. I hope you’re feeling better now though!
