Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Mark Twain

I have dreamt of adventure for as long as I can remember. I hate the feeling of missing out on a vast world full of fantastic experiences and opportunities. I love to write, and ever since I came across Mark Twain when I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to combine writing with adventure and travel, and helping people through animal assisted therapy.

There are 196 countries in the world at last count, and so far I’ve only made my way through seven. My quest is to change that dramatically. Since starting this blog, I’ve already ticked off loads of steps towards changing my life. I’m well into my fourth year at my current job – a change which I hope will provide me with ample opportunities to learn and grow and with plenty to blog about. I’ve recently taken up a Korean and Thai language course which I hope to put to good use during my travels. I passed my driving test on 11 June 2014, and have also started saving up enthusiastically. The goal is to get away for my first round the world trip by the beginning of 2016 to create awareness on animal assisted therapy.

This blog was created for me to share my journey towards getting on the road, a place for me to vent my wanderlust and to learn more about myself. This blog also serves as a platform for me to raise funds for animal assisted therapy and to document my journey on self-discovery. If you are interested in working with me, I would love to hear from you. Do drop me a message here, and I will get back to you soonest.

If a journey doesn’t have something to teach you about yourself, then what kind of journey is it?”
